Review: Risou no Musuko

Plot: Umi Suzuki (Kyoka Suzuki) has lived a difficult. She has one son Daichi Suzuki (Ryosuke Yamada) whom she lives through vicariously and hopes will one day will become a success. She has raised Daichi in such a way that he is easily identified as a mama's boy. Daichi always strives to get the best scores in school to please his mother and has no problem telling others that his mother is the most important person in the world. Umi is thrilled when her son Daichi is accepted into a prestigious high school. Umi then begins a new job working in the cafeteria at all boys high school known for its troublemaking students. Daichi then decides to transfer from his prestigious high school to the notorious school to protect his moma (AsianWiki)

Below is my review. I am not a professional, this is how I felt about the whole thing. Please also note that this review mainly revolves around the plot and the HSJ dorks.

Plot - I really liked the story line. Light and doesn't dwell on too much problem. There were struggles between the main casts but the plot was basically about family relationships, expectation, the normal Jap Gangstet environment. What I hated though during the entire series was the popping up of animals. Koala, crocodile, elephants you name it. I just fine all of it corny. I mean they already have great acting from the main casts, they didn't need all that going on.

Yamada Ryosuke - He was extremely great here. If you didn't know our center better, you'd believe that he's an extra dork. Plus see him doing the sign below. If that isn't dorky, I don't know what is.

Nakajima Yuto - Same with Yama he delivered a great performance. Had me believing he was a weakling. For Tobikko's like me, we all know that he is always at the top if we talk about strength and personality. Two thumbs up Yutti.

Just look at our two dorks acting dorky. If you like the serious stuff this ain't for you. But if you like an all around series (action, comedy and drama) this is definitely worth watching!
